activity 10- Module 2A4- Smart Workers
A smart worker is an informed worker. This is the ideal state we would like all teachers to experience.Whilstyou may find Some teachers who are not inclined to the concept of change, all schools should attempt to start with the few who can identify with the vision. It only takes a spark to get a fire going. At present the Caribbean seconadry examination Council has instituted a learning portal for teachers to exchange lesson plans or information on various disciplines. Through collaboration we can learn many things. I am definitely aiming to be a smart learner because smart learners are lifelong learners.
Activity 11
Creating Personal Learning Networks
I am beginning to enjoy sharing information articles on best practices with the staff. I find that this tool is like an informal way of engaging staff in professional development. Professional Development is simply keeping teachers informed. Through social mediums like Facebook and Twitter or through Scoop. It! which I have grown to enjoy over the past days, so much can be shared. Eventually , colleagues will begin to connect with more futuristic thinking about themselves as professionals as it relates to where they want to take their students. Yes we can be smart workers. Smart Workers are Informed Workers. Hence our practice will be informed and so will our decisions.
